A Boeing 737-800 aircraft was checked up at Tianhe Airport's North Apron and at the aircraft maintenance plant of Southern Airlines Hubei Branch.

 

 

 

More than 50 workers performed their duties and underwent a full-body physical examination of the five-storey aircraft. Although it was early in the morning, the warehouse was as hot as a steamer. According to Wang Lei, the section leader of the calibration workshop, the core temperature of the engine is as high as 800 C while the shell is about 60 C.

 

 

 

Aircraft maintenance is a system engineering, which mainly includes aircraft verification, pre-flight, post-flight and post-flight maintenance and troubleshooting.

 

 

 

According to reports, airplanes, like cars, also need regular physical examination, and require more sophisticated. For example, Boeing 737-800 aircraft, before, after and during the take-off and landing intervals every day, general maintenance is required. When an aircraft flies 350 hours or 30 days, it has to do an A-check, "equivalent to the general maintenance of the car, 50 people need to do 6 hours at a time". At the highest level of C-inspection, hundreds of thousands of parts of the aircraft will be dismantled, at least a week to complete.
